logan20 Deserves a Close Listen. The way walls of feedback noise and brief instrumental parts are orchestrated and made to complement one another is remarkable, not least because it is made to seem simple. I may not be familiar with many of the influences, but I’m always listening and learning, and I think that Pincus knows this. Strangely, I find comfort in what he’s created here. The world is not stable, will never be; but as long as art like this is being made, maybe we can strap in and make our way. Favorite track: Sandblasted.

Three landscapes... which feels like the sort of loaded, "sound artist" term I'd usually hesitate to describe my music as, but these were pretty much explicitly conceived to evoke desolate, isolated land (huh, I wonder if there's anything going on right now that makes people want to explore isolation, loneliness and environmental anxiety in their creative output? Nah, I got nothing), an attempt to invoke some of the same sonic maelstrom as Neil Young's Arc or the desert-planet alien rock of Sun City Girls' Torch of the Mystics, so "landscapes" it is. I think this ultimately ended up somewhere a little bit icier, but certainly no more hospitable.
