Lost in the sound of an irregular repetition. Lost in the sound of a Möbius strip. Splices pump blood through my veins.

about

I sorta had this idea to create some songs on tape as a diversion from the big digital-based album I've been working on (which, at the time of this writing, might end up a triple album, or at least, whatever the digitally-distributed form of a triple album is). The plan was to make post-punk songs, which only got me about two tracks in before I remembered I had a handful of tape loops put together and a microphone in the mail, renewing my previously-abandoned impulses towards weird electroacoustic folk stuff (documented on Killing The Record Industry volume 1). So the post-punk songs were set aside (presumably for a future Collected Tapes III), and this collects the past week or so's worth of weirdo, tape-loopin' electroacoustic jamming, plus an earlier track (improv #1) cut from the aforementioned digital-based album for not being digital enough. And there we have it, a second collection of tape music that sounds absolutely nothing like the first. Here's to the next one, which will, god willing, sound absolutely nothing like this one.
