Max/MSP feedback experiments inspired by Roland Kayn's "cybernetic music," music that "arises from the interplay of merged control loops setting a process into motion." I'd already been doing some of this on the last album, but for these (made in a burst of creativity over the past week) I tried to eliminate my role in the proceedings post-programming even more - once the patch was finished, all I did was press "record" and "stop". It was very fun, but I kinda ran out of ideas, and also got distracted by some new gear (I have a tenor guitar and a Sherman Filterbank now, and the pendulum is temporarily swinging away from laptop stuff), so I'm leaving this line of creative inquiry alone for now and putting the results out in the world.
